The Renaissance Engineering Programme (REP) is NTU’s flagship engineering programme that aims to nurture engineering leaders with an entrepreneurial spirit to serve society. The programme covers a broad spectrum of multidisciplinary subjects bridging engineering, business and humanities.
The incumbent will work closely with faculty members to manage efforts in the use of learning technology in both online and offline learning environments and to support the team-based learning pedagogy for REP courses.
Responsibilities
Manage Team-based Learning (TBL) for REP courses
Facilitate TBL sessions using software and providing in-class support
Work with curriculum experts and faculty to ensure that the TBL materials that are developed are aligned to the learning outcomes of the relevant modules
Provide curriculum support to faculty in the area of using different technology mode for the lesson plan
Engage faculty to explore possibilities of TBL development for their courses and recommend approaches and solutions for the courses
Communication and outreach
Work closely with student/alumni ambassadors and relevant departments on university-wide outreach events, activities and alumni activities
Assist with the various communication and publicity materials e.g. e-newsletters, e-brochures, videos
Propose suitable student engagement activities to reach out to the student community on a regular basis
General safety and facilities management
Act as the safety representative for the department and the learning facilities
Develop safety plan for the department and learning facilities and devise a safety communications plan
Provide facilities support, including maintenance for teaching facilities (such as Makers Lab and North Hill) to ensure compliance with safety standards
Work closely with students to revamp and enhance space utilisation of Makers Lab
Requirements:
Possess Bachelor’s Degree in related disciplines (such as Computer Science, Learning or Education Technology etc)
Good knowledge of online course production for educational environment
Has minimally 3 years of relevant experience in educational technology and instructional design, preferably in an academic administrative role in a tertiary institution
Has experience with the use of instructional technology within a variety of curriculum and subject areas and familiar with the use of online learning technologies
Has some experience handling safety matters
A self-starter who is resourceful, committed and has strong interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good project management experience and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Able to work well within a team and has a passion to interact with students
