Lead Stationary Engineer- Days - Facilities Management 

Under the direct supervision of the Plant Supervisor, the Lead Stationary Engineer performs a variety of duties to assist in leading and coordinating day-to-day activities of the Physical Plant. You will coordinate the activities of the Plant Services including the Boiler Plant and Chiller Plant and auxiliary components. Provides technical guidance to staff in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the high-pressure boilers, vacuum, centrifugal pumps, filters, chillers, and chemical treatment of boiler water.

This is a full time day shift Mon-Fri 5:30am - 1:30pm position including other shifts/weekends/holidays as needed, located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria:

• Stationary Engineer for at least 2 –4 years in a plant that also operates a main chiller plant.
• At least 1 years’ experience of operation high pressure steam generation plant.
• Minimum 1 year experience of operation of a chilled water plant.
• FDNY Certificate of Fitness G-71 Supervision of Piped Non-Flammable Medical Gases.
• FDNY Certificate of Fitness S-12 Citywide Sprinkler Systems.
• FDNY Certificate of Fitness S-13 Citywide Standpipe Systems.
• FDNY Certificate of Fitness S-14 Standpipe for Multi-Zone Systems.
• Working knowledge of use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) any kind.

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• FDNY Certificate of Fitness A-35 Operate and Maintain Air Compressors or G-35 Operate Air Compressors required within 90 days of starting in role.
• NYC Department of Buildings-High Pressure Boiler Operating Engineer License.
• FDNY-Certificate of Qualification Q-01 Refrigerating System Operating Engineer Refrigerating.
• FDNY-Certificate of Fitness S-95Supervision of Fire Alarms Systems.
• New York City Fire Department (FDNY) Certificate of Fitness for Fuel-Oil Piping and Storage System, P-98 
• Basic Computer literacy.
• Working knowledge of operating Building Automatization System (BAS) of any kind.
• Working knowledge of operating high pressure boilers and centrifugal chillers.
• Working knowledge of operating commercial or industrial HVAC systems and equipment.
• Understanding principles of HVAC control.
