As an MCT Backend Cycle Time Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working at Manufacturing Central Team responsible in driving Network Cycle Time Program performances through collaboration with multiple sites and multiple functional team across the network and seeding Operations Excellence mindset across Micron Backend Manufacturing team. You will need to equip with deep knowledge on Cycle Time management and detailed data analytic skill to identify gap, analyze root-cause, drive decision making and improvement projects. In this role, you and your team will be responsible for guiding network site team by driving cycle time related continuous improvement project, business process alignment, methodologies standardization. You and your team will facilitate weekly performance review meeting with sites, be the steward to develop effective processes to enable efficient manufacturing cycle time, standardize/ simplify and establish cycle time metrics blueprinting roadmap and methodology that drives towards operations excellence. You will be key driver in all projects/ activities that require detailed data analysis, lead projects/ BKM fan-out with high metric value to cycle time roadmap.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop metrics, report, tool/enabler, methodology to measure Operation efficiency/Cycle Time performance accurately and meaningfully, enabling effective and efficient data analysis and improvement actions.
  • Network standardization of metrics, measurement scope and definition, methodology, business process, modelling, etc. And, ensuring operation excellence approaches take place across network sites according to schedule and commits.
  • Set targets that align to Micron's CT target to achieve Best-In-Class Performance. Lead and drive sub-programs supporting Tier 1 Cycle Time Program. Act as sub-program SME to drive continuous improvement projects
  • Identify gaps and opportunities based on data or using descriptive/ predictive / statistical model. Surface risks and formulate opportunities into projects to drive systemic improvements.
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of improvement projects/ activities aligned with the cycle time program strategic objectives, ensuring multiple projects are progressing towards its objectives; Manage project scopes and deliverables by collaborating with cross-sites multi-functional organizations.
  • Provide training and working sessions with sites to improve the network awareness and knowledge in Cycle Time. Develop system to increase maturity in Cycle Time Management across backend network.
  • Work with Site and Central Operation & Engineering teams (E.g. ATCP, PDE, TSE, NPM, POM etc.) to gather and understand Operation Excellence data in the area of cycle time.
  • Forging and improving positive relationships with internal customers by understanding their requirements, expectations and deliver value consistently.
  • Facilitate BKM sharing and weekly performance review meeting with sites key partners.

Requirements:

  • Business intelligent skillset such as developing analytics report in Tableau or ability to code in SQL/Python, etc. is required.
  • Good understanding of A/T processes and system/physical automation (Equipment Efficiency Methodology, NPI and HVM cycle time planning, capacity planning, labor planning, lean manufacturing, VSM, BE business process & reports structure, etc.)
  • The ability to work closely with others in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills is key in this role
  • Strong data driven mentality for decision making. The ability to provide and evaluate options that enable lowest cost of operation.
  • Exceptional customer focus.
  • Knowledge and practical application of statistics, data analysis and problem solving.
  • The ability to utilize existing tools and templates with minimal or no guidance for complex situations.
  • The willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required
