THE OPPORTUNITY

If so, Native is looking for an experienced Brand Designer who can bring packaging and brand campaigns to life through engaging creative infused with our brand’s fun personality! This person will report to the Creative Director and will work with cross-functional teams to create for a broad range of brand needs.

Founded in 2015 and with over 50,000 5-star product reviews, we are one of the fastest-growing personal care companies as we expand our reach both online and in-stores. Acquired by Procter & Gamble in 2017, we continue to operate independently in San Francisco and retain our start-up culture and mentality. This role is based in our San Francisco, CA, office.

We are looking for someone who:

Wants to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment. You'll need to communicate well with various teams and with preference for urgency to get things done.

What You’ll Do

You'll be able to see your work from concept through execution with direction of the Native Creative Director. You will lead design concepts across consumer touchpoints prioritizing packaging, and promotional materials.

You'll be hands-on with packaging & digital execution design leadership across channels (retail, DTC, social), using consumer & market research and competitor analysis to identify packaging trends and consumer preferences. Work closely with the product development team to ensure packaging design aligns with product attributes and consumer needs.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications

·       BA/BS in graphic design or similar field.

·       Flexibility in an environment of constant change, short turnarounds and across various contract manufacturers specifications.

·       Expertise in the latest graphics and business programs: Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft (Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).

·       A portfolio that demonstrates strong skill in graphic design and brand identity. Your portfolio will be assessed on design strategy, creative excellence, storytelling, problem-solving and technical capability.

·       Strong communication skills with the ability to justify your conceptional and directional design choices. Can give and receive feedback. Ability to influence a senior leader’s point of view.

·       Collaboration and interdependence skills both within design and multi-functional partners. Experience collaborating across geographies and organizational boundaries is a plus. Ability to translate insights and observations into consumer propositions. Ability to gro understanding of design in others.

·       Outstanding listening skills with a view to understanding and anticipating the needs.

·       Outstanding project management skills, ability to lead multiple initiatives and handle complexity with confidence.

·       Leverage understanding of the Company and Design Field organization structure to navigate and get work done.

·       Experience in designing for OTC brands or similar (regulated) driving across multiple touchpoints a plus.

·       Budget management.
