The Manager of Dealer Development will play a pivotal role in establishing and expanding a robust dealer network.  This role will develop strategic partnerships with dealers across various regions to enhance market presence, boost sales, and ensure customer satisfaction. The Manager will be responsible for the entire process of identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and supporting new dealers while fostering a collaborative relationship with existing ones.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE:  

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis and research to identify potential dealer candidates in targeted regions.

  • Develop a strategic plan for expanding the dealer network, considering market demand, competitive landscape, and business objectives.

  • Establish and maintain a pipeline of prospective dealers, ensuring a continuous flow of qualified candidates.

  • Actively engage with potential dealers, presenting the manufacturer's value proposition and benefits of becoming a dealer partner.

  • Lead negotiations and contractual agreements with selected dealers, ensuring alignment with the manufacturer's objectives and standards.

  • Oversee the onboarding process, providing training and resources to new dealers for seamless integration into the network.

  • Collaborate with dealers to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to promote products and increase market share.

  • Provide ongoing training and support to dealers, equipping them with product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service best practices.

  • Regularly assess dealer performance and provide guidance to optimize sales and operational efficiency.

  • Foster positive working relationships with dealers to promote open communication and a collaborative partnership.

  • Conduct periodic meetings and performance reviews with dealers to address challenges, opportunities, and feedback.

  • Serve as a liaison between dealers and the manufacturer, ensuring effective communication and swift issue resolution.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.

  • Analyze competitor strategies and use market intelligence to refine dealer development initiatives and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for dealers and monitor their progress regularly.

  • Generate comprehensive reports on dealer network performance, sales trends, and market share growth.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Five (5) or more years of related experience.

  • One (1) or more years of management experience.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

STAND OUT QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Master’s degree; MBA preferred.

  • Experience in conducting executive level presentations and facilitating group discussions to tackle complex problems.

  • Thought leadership, change management, and project management experience.

  • Ability to influence change and build relationships with other business leaders.

  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Broad cross-functional skillset.

  • Very strong analytical abilities.
