Patient and Marketplace Corp. Affairs: Within C4, the Patient and Marketplace Corp. Affairs team is accountable for delivering patient-facing digital companions and external marketplace solutions to increase customer value and simplify specialty pharma services to ensure patients can acquire Pfizer breakthroughs.
The U.S. Channels and Global Web Experience team directly owns and operates Pfizer.com, the operation of our primary U.S. corporate social channels. The team balances the needs of Pfizer’s audiences with what Pfizer wishes to communicate, maximizing the effectiveness of both. The team works closely with the peer Content team to ensure the execution of their editorial strategies across all channels, as well with the various content owners throughout the company that contribute material to Pfizer.com.

The Channel Management Manager will be working with fellow team members to ensure the smooth operation of Pfizer’s corporate web and social channels (roughly 60% focused on web, 40% focused on social).
For our web channels, primarily Pfizer.com, the designated colleague will serve as a principal contact for content owners throughout the company. This role involves interpreting their requests and translating them into tangible results on the website. Responsibilities include updating existing content, actively creating new pages and sections, determining the layout and display of materials, and occasionally rejecting requests that do not align with the strategic objectives of our external web presence.
As the primary implementer of site changes, the Manager will uphold and defend our web and global brand standards, ensuring that all content adheres to the Visual Identity, User Experience, and foundational content guidelines established for our web channels. Additionally, while evaluating requests, the colleague may propose enhancements and improvements to these standards.
The colleague is also responsible for troubleshooting and testing functional elements of our web templates, leveraging expert experience within the web development discipline. This role requires a solid understanding of interdisciplinary skills in graphic design, information architecture, search engine optimization, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
The colleague will also act as the primary contact for managing Pfizer’s corporate social media platforms (Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube) and will include posting organic, time-sensitive, content across all social platforms. The role will serve as a technical liaison between the business and Digital and may require troubleshooting of social media channels as necessary. The role is expected to be a Subject Matter Expert across all of Pfizer’s social media channels, providing guidance, adherence to standards and technical support as needed. The role will also support the teams generating comprehensive metrics reports across all social channels. This role is the last step in the process of publishing social content to our global audience.
The Channel Management Manager reports to the Director, Channel Management within the Digital function at Pfizer. Day-to-day, the Manager takes direction from the Senior Manager, Channel Management to help prioritize and balance team tasks overall. The Manger will also work closely with the Director, Channel Management on externally facing web projects that focus on increasing user experience, information architecture and the overall journey of the user.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will:
Manage hundreds of change requests annually for Pfizer.com, arriving through multiple avenues. Requires the ability to evaluate requests andprovide direction on standardized/modular design and UI/UX best practices. This role will include monitoring email requests, assisting customers in the entry of content in web-based content management systems, independently troubleshooting customer access difficulties and correction of difficult coding issues, logging of all requests into our Zendesk tracking system, updating and maintenance of other forms of work reporting and tracking.
Must be able to leverage expert front-end and back-end web knowledge and experience to make recommendations that affect/enhance functional and user experience challenges on our corporate and global websites. This may include guiding others through requirements and use of prototyping.
Manage the regular interaction with web developers, receiving requirements from the channel management senior manager/director and overseeing their implementation. This role would ensure that development teams have a firm understanding of the desired outcome of any requested work, review any implementation to ensure it is being done in the most efficient, sustainable manner, conduct user acceptance testing, provide feedback on progress and oversee the deployment of updates, changes and fixes.
Actively seek out opportunities to standardize and modularize common Drupal components, leveraging their expert current front-end and back-end experience to make educated recommendations. This includes the ability to prototype recommendations when applicable.
Must be independently able to leverage expert use of image editing tools (i.e. Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator) to perform advanced image manipulation, color-correction, cropping and resizing while strictly adhering to best-in-class compression standards for Drupal/Pfizer.com.
Support colleagues in Corporate Affairs by executing time-sensitive organic posts to Pfizer’s various social platforms and channels. These include X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. Responsibilities also include:
Utilization of the Sprinklr platform to manage/schedule posts and other related content
Assist the Data Analytics team, as an administrator, to ensure tags are correct for metrics and reporting purposes
Proofreading of manuscript and social copy to look for inaccuracies, punctuation errors prior to pushing live
Image manipulation to support all various social platform requirements
Troubleshoot/diagnose/resolve any errors/issues related to social platforms/channels (including Sprinklr and Newscred/Welcome)
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant experience in a fast-paced web development environment within a large, complex organization; OR Master’s degree with three years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree with eight years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. with 0+ years of experience; OR 10 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent
Experience in healthcare/pharma sector preferred.
Expert front-end Drupal CMS (content management, structure, navigation) development and solid understanding of interdisciplinary skills in graphic design, information architecture, search engine optimization, accessibility and mobile responsiveness.
Leverage expert knowledge and experience to troubleshoot Drupal front-end and back-end problems as well as come up with new ideas and prototype concepts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex ideas to colleagues and external audiences.
Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript as well as other core languages required in the context of Drupal development
Expert use of Photoshop and Abode Illustrator with a focus on advanced compression techniques for web applications
Ability to troubleshoot problems and work well under tight timelines
Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and strategic, analytical and leadership capabilities
Knowledge and experience with social media and digital communications
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and with multiple internal and external stakeholders; influence/negotiation skills and relationship management capabilities a must.
Strong communication planning, execution and process management skills
Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport and credibility with Pfizer internal and external stakeholders
Certifications/ Training
Any relevant degrees towards these qualifications is preferred, though aptitude in the skills is prioritized

Supporting urgent business communications on our web & social channels may rarely require work outside of normal business hours, including early mornings, late nights and weekends as needs (and news cycles) demand.
