Summary
 

Performs scheduling oversight activities for training management to ensure effective departmental training. Performs detailed planning on a regular basis, monitors very large concurrent training event projects and oversees training events through well-prepared staff and resources. Resolves daily resource and training schedule issues. Also serves as the primary Part B Training Specialist.

Location: This role is primary onsite with remote opportunities at 17 Technology Circle Columbia, SC 29203


Work Environment: The work hours are Monday - Friday 8 AM – 5 PM

  • Serves as a liaison between training management, training personnel, vendors, and customers (operational management). Coordinates mandatory training including post/pre-tests, proficiency tests, etc. and may provide written documentation to operational management as appropriate follow up. Plans specialized training events by conducting analysis of training requirements in terms of number of learners, number of courses, length of entire curriculum, start stop dates, facilities available per site or location. Maps resources to requirements. Prepares detailed training schedules and project plans. Elevates to management any issues for resolution. Performs post training evaluations and provides results/reports to operational and training management.

  • Oversees daily activities of assigned trainers or temporary training staff by ensuring rooms are properly staffed during training events. Collects sign-in sheets. Posts evaluations and other documentation during and after an event. Reviews rosters for accuracy. Requests, stores, and issues equipment and supplies to trainers as needed. May perform training observations to ensure quality training delivery, and prepare feedback for management’s review and provide coaching and mentoring to trainers as needed.

  • Participates in or leads various workgroups. Attends regular functional area meetings to assess training needs and ensure department is on schedule with development and/or delivery projects. Represents manager at both internal and external customer and vendor meetings. Develops, revises and reviews training material and job aids (including ISO documentation) as needed. May deliver training, as needed.

  • Performs Train the Trainer activities, conducts observations, and documents feedback to ensure quality training delivery. Monitors trainers for adherence to training guidelines and presentation excellence. Assists training management with monitoring and maintaining performance metrics.

  • Serves as point of contact for course offerings/content inquires. Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors. Researches external vendor offerings and compares content and cost for each.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:

  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree

  • Degree Equivalency: 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience 

  • Required Work Experience: 3 years training or other work environment requiring preparation of detailed plans and schedules.

  • Required Software and tools: Microsoft Office

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent human relations skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong research, planning, data gathering, and organizational skills.

  • Highly proficient PC skills.

  • Basic business math proficiency.

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.

We Prefer That You Have The Following:

  • Bachelor's degree- Education or Training.

  • 8 years-formal training experience in a field that requires highly detailed planning or scheduling.

  • Well-versed in Medicare Part B guidelines and systems as

  • Experience in Part B Claims, Appeals, Medical Review
