About the Role

To support team lead for insurance policy related payment processing; ensuring all transactions are processed timely and accurately and accounted for appropriately; liaising with relevant parties internally, banks, operational issues resolutions; assist in the process change, new initiative and implementation including user-acceptance testing.

Job Description

  • Ensure timely and accurate daily payment processing for policy related payments.
  • Ensure all payments are processed and completed within the agreed SLA.
  • Assist the Manager to ensure sound financial controls and operations efficiency.
  • Liaise with various departments within AIA and banks on all insurance operation payment related transactional matters.
  • Alert /escalate for any control weakness to the Manager.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly payment statistical reports.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as and when assigned.
  • Regular clearing of long outstanding payable items and unreconciled bank open items.
  • Perform quarterly balance sheet reconciliation. Follow up to ensure all transactions are accounted for. Investigate long aged items and exposed items for resolution.
  • Key relationships other than those within reporting lines - All departments within AIA and external stakeholders eg Banks. All communication is expected to be able to communicate in a professional manner to both internal and external parties from time to time, based on factual events.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Min. Diploma with emphasis on accountancy or finance

  • Experience: Fresh graduates to 2 years of working experience in Finance department.  More experienced candidates can be considered for more senior positions.   

  • Good interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP

  • Excellent team player and good work attitude.

  • Meticulous and pay attention to details.

  • Highly adaptable and ability to work under pressure.
