What You Will Do

As a Programming, Synergy & Partnership Marketing Intern with Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, you will gain an understanding of the programming process from pitch to execution in producing traditional and non-traditional advertising content. This will include linear and streaming programming content on Networks/Streaming platforms such as ABC, Hulu, Disney Channel, Freeform, NatGeo, ESPN, ESPN+, Disney+, and FX for Disney Destination properties. You will observe several functions within the department, gain exposure to the physical production environment and see how a production shoot is planned and organized.  You can also expect to gain exposure from the post-production process to final delivery of a project.

As part of this team you will…

  • Assist development of the Broadcast Production Specials, Episodic and long from content through shoot productions, post, delivery and archiving, leading the content through each step of the process.
  • Assist in video pre-production, field production and post-production.
  • Research various topics to support content production.
  • Assist Project Management and Producers with scheduling, tracking and updating key projects.
  • Assist with coordinating post-production efforts from editing and audio to compression and formatting.
  • Familiarizing yourself with our vast video clip library and source footage for productions.
  • Track and Recap Programs and Social Media.
  • Create presentation and pitch decks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Keynote and PowerPoint presentation skills.
  • Strong experience in both Windows and Mac environments.
  • The ability to communicate through Outlook and messaging.
  • An interest in content production.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to collaborate with others, accept feedback and enthusiastically perform a wide range of tasks.
  • Detail oriented, strong self-initiative and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
  • High level energy with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with creative applications such as Adobe and/or Photoshop, Final Cut Pro

Education

  • You’ll be an undergraduate or a recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) earning a degree in Film, Television, Content Development, New Media, Marketing, Advertising, or closely related field.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: 

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program. 
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization 

Additional Information:

  • Must be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • This internship is a primarily on-site position - Must be able to provide a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace
  • Program length - The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 - June 2025
  • Work details - Must be able to work FULL TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship
  • Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
