The Balance Sheet Mgmt Ld Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
 

This role specifically is within the Balance Sheet Recovery and Resolution Planning team. Role is to act within a wider team, taking the lead for enhancement of RRP capabilities. Will be working with business process subject matter experts within the team and with wider stakeholders to deliver technology and business process improvements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support Recovery and Resolution Planning forecasting execution processes enhancements
  • Contribute to design of strategic enhancements to RRP technology systems and business processes
  • Document business requirements for technology teams to deliver on
  • Develop User Acceptance Testing plans and write test cases
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing
  • Work with business process owners and technology teams to ensure enhancements are designed and delivered as required
  • Contribute to definition and documentation of business processes


 

Qualifications and Skills:

Following are required

  • 6-10 years of experience working for a financial services organization
  • Analytical skills and ability to design strategic solutions and processes
  • Extensive experience as a business analyst delivering technology enhancements
  • Proficiency with standard analysis tools (Excel / Access / SQL)
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment Ability to interact with all levels of management

Following are preferred

  • Knowledge of Recovery and Resolution Planning and/or stress testing (e.g. CCAR)
  • Knowledge of Balance Sheet reporting and general accounting principles
  • Experience with modelling

Education:

  • Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree
