Our Responsible AI strategy enables us to embed responsibility into all of Accenture’s data and AI activities. We’re developing and deploying differentiated Responsible AI solutions with our ecosystem partners. We engage with regulators and policy makers to help shape the policy agenda, and we collaborate with academia and experts to conduct pioneering research which we then include in our thought leadership and client offerings.

To meet rapidly growing client demand, we now want to develop and expand our Responsible AI team in Europe.

You are: someone who:

  • has good knowledge of the current and evolving regulatory and compliance aspects of AI, data, technology and related areas
  • has a good understanding of policy, standards, and regulation of AI, and who can use this to help our clients establish responsible and compliant AI principles, policies, operating models, governance structures and controls for Responsible AI in a way that mitigates and handles risks
  • can help assess the Responsible AI aspects of technology and client systems such as fairness, transparency, explainability, robustness, soundness, sustainability and privacy
  • enjoys the breadth and pace of working with multidisciplinary Accenture teams and diverse clients from different sectors across Europe
  • can also step back and help Accenture understand, shape and influence the development of AI and related regulation, standards and policies internally and across industries

The work: You’ll be a key player in our growing Responsible AI Advisory Europe team helping to deliver outstanding Responsible AI for our clients. Some of the areas you’ll be working in include:

  • Engaging with multi-disciplinary Accenture teams and prospective clients to help shape and deliver client Responsible AI projects, with a focus on regulatory and compliance advisory input
  • Working on client projects for Responsible / Ethical AI with a focus on policies, regulations and standards, operating models, governance structures and controls
  • Working with Accenture’s client delivery teams to help clients apply AI, data and related laws, regulations and ethical standards to their business operations and technology
  • Acting as a subject matter authority in the evolving area of Responsible AI, in particular by providing regulatory and compliance input to the development, deployment and operation of client AI principles, policies, programmes, standards, controls and guidelines
  • Supporting client sales conversations and proposals
  • Communicating and providing regulatory and compliance guidance to senior Accenture leadership and client teams
  • Assessing the latest developments in data, AI and related policy and standards
  • Creating and maintaining an overview of the key developments in AI and regulated regulation
  • Supporting engagement with key stakeholders within the policy and regulatory space
  • Supporting the presentation and positioning of Accenture’s point of view with clients and other key internal and external collaborators

Here’s what you need:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in a client-facing role in the legal or consulting industry with a particular focus on the practical application of the regulatory and compliance aspects of technology, data and/or AI
  • Knowledge of related areas of law, regulation and compliance, such as technology, data protection, intellectual property, commercial contracting
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a field related to Law, Regulation, or Compliance
  • A knowledge of public and private sector business and operational environments and the application of technology, regulation and compliance to them
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multinational team and client environment, and to communicate in a practical and effective way
  • Ability to proactively and independently prioritise work and efforts based on business and situational awareness
  • Commitment to Responsible and ethical AI development and continuous learning in the field
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to support multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Priority skills/knowledge:

  • Data & AI regulations, compliance, and standards experience and knowledge
  • Client advisory and consulting skills and experience, including in helping design and implement data and AI operating models, governance structures and controls
  • AI (including Responsible and Generative) and related technologies
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Risk assessment
  • Project management

The following are an advantage to have:

  • An additional qualification in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related technical fields.
  • Published articles or other thought leadership in the field of Technology regulation, Responsible / Ethical AI, or related areas
  • Experience in public presentations and advocacy skills

Travel: may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary depending on business need and client requirements.
