Casual Quarry Operator

Casual | $27.48 - $32.65 (pending experience) + 25% casual loading + super + penalties

Heidelberg Materials Australia (formerly Hanson) have opportunities to join our team as a Casual Quarry Operator at Glasshouse Mountains in the Sunshine Coast region. This role will be reporting to the Quarry Manager, and we are seeking applicants who have a passion for safety and value a strong work ethic. This is casual leading to full-time for the right candidate.

Financials:

• You will be rewarded with a competitive and attractive hourly rate $27.48 - $32.65 per hour (pending experience), plus 25% casual loading.

• Covered under the Metro Quarrying EBA - overtime rates apply.

About the Role:

• Operating Mobile Equipment including Dump Trucks, Front End Loaders, and Excavators.

• Operating the crushing and screening plant

• General fixed plant maintenance and inspections

• During busy periods we expect all employees to pitch in and perform any/all quarry tasks where needed

• Commitment to Zero Harm and Safety Leadership

• Adhere to fixed and mobile plant pre-start & maintenance procedures.

Background and Experience required:

• Quarry/Mining experience.

• Experience operating a Front-End Loader, Dump Truck and/or Excavator.

• Ability to work in a small team and unsupervised.

• Professional work ethic with a "can do" attitude example.
