About the Role

The Global Services Pursuit Manager is the point of contact of a Deal/Opportunity from initiation through sign-off. The GSPM interacts with internal & external customers in order to work through solutioning, response package creation & implementation of services. The GSPM understands the clients’ specific business need, translates it into a meaningful requirement & manages all working streams–solutioning, pricing, sow, etc.

Daily challenges

  • Act as primary Global Solutioning Services point of contact for each Opportunity Owner - assisting in qualifying opportunities, assembling bid team with the Offering or domain knowledge required to create a differentiated solution and winning bid
  • End to End owner of the Pursuit Management
  • Collaborate with the Sales or Account team to ensure appropriate messaging and strategy is reflected in the Pursuit
  • Present the opportunity to Triage/Deal Intake /Deal shaping as appropriate
  • Work with Sales or Account team to define Pursuit schedule and budget using standard processes toolsets
  • Create and maintain a forecast of the resource requirements of each opportunity with a clear and comprehensive description of expected tasks, deliverables time scales
  • Work closely with the Opportunity Owner and provide qualification support ensuring processes around Pursuit Support Model (PSM) are followed along with the best practices.
  • Ensure the pursuit team understands Pursuit process, deliverables, and due dates
  • Develop initial pricing strategy for the deal with Sales and conduct P2W sessions
  • Coordinate with our partners and other Third Parties for the opportunities wherever required
  • Work with the solution team and assist in developing an accurate understanding of business needs and related issues
  • Identify probable competition and evaluate relative DXC strengths
  • Identify required client deliverables, defines document structure, responsibilities and creates/maintains an outline to track files
  • Develop Pursuit plan using standard toolsets and communicates with support areas for efficient execution
  • Track the status of each client deliverable and escalates issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with corporate Delegation of Authority for sales transaction and associated governance process
  • Deliver a quality and compliant Pursuit, on time and to budget
  • Create, maintain and communicate risk and issues log for all opportunities

eXperience & skills required

  • Familiar with Agile methodologies and principles
  • Recognized Project Management certification
  • Fluent in written and verbal English and Italian
  • Strong client facing skills; builds client trust and engagement
  • Understand technical and business objectives of client
  • Make the connection between industry trends and client needs
  • Strong Project Leadership skills
  • Adaptive Project Management skills utilizing best method dependent on the size and complexity of the project
