We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious student to join our DTS Security team for summer 2025! As the Security & Risk Analyst Intern, you will support progression of a well-defined research project related to plant-based protein ingredient characterization. You will have the opportunity to work with various members of the Digital Technology Solutions Security Team to facilitate, provide support and gain experience of each functional tower, (Security, GRC, including Identity Access Management. We are looking for someone goal-oriented, focused on results, skilled in data analysis, and who possesses a strong initiative to enhance processes and drive change in a dynamic and agile work environment!

Your role will be:

  • Collaborate with security team to identify security threats and violations, and provides solutions and recommendations remediation 
  • Assist in the development and implementation of technical and administrative safeguards 
  • Review violations of security procedures; provides training to ensure violations do not recur. 
  • Monitor and restrict access to sensitive, confidential, or other high-security data. 
  • Assist in performing risk assessments, audits, and tests to ensure proper functioning of data processing activities and security measures. 
  • Assist in user training and promoting security awareness. 
  • Develop reports and other risk metrics  
  • All other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor. 

Your profile needs these qualifications:

  • Basic security knowledge (at least one core security class) 
  • Understanding of security risk assessments, cybersecurity penetration testing and security monitoring 
  • Basic understanding of IT Security Risk 
  • Basic understanding of vulnerability management
  • Basic networking knowledge 
  • Basic operating system knowledge: Windows, Linux, Solaris, OS X 
  • The desire to learn about new security concepts and techniques

  • Proven ability to deliver under agreed upon deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers and others
  • Solid teamwork skills and creative problem solving
  • Desire to see and create results

  • Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.
  • Be a currently enrolled student in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
