The Seasonal Leader, Manufacturing Operations is a temporary developmental role that prepares an employee to perform a higher-level Lead or Supervisory role. This position is assigned on an interim/seasonal basis.

This is an onsite role in our Mt. Juliet TN facility.

What will be my duties and responsibilities be in this job?

  • Supervising employees in our facility, ensuring effective operations by preparing work schedules, assigning tasks, coordinating the flow of work, and assigned projects, overseeing completion of work, and monitoring the performance of your team
  • This position is not responsible for making employment decisions as it relates to hiring, termination, and performance management of employees
  • The Seasonal Leader may provide feedback to Supervisors or Mangers related to an employee’s performance

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Working knowledge of shop floor systems (CVision, Oracle, Unit Tracker, Great Plains, Ghost)
  • Lead daily stand-up meetings with teams
  • Work with department Supervisor to reallocate resources (people/supplies/products etc.) as needed to meet customer goals
  • Work with other departments as needed to ensure proper workflow is achieved
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
  • Must be proficient and certified in the area that they are responsible for leading
  • Meet production operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying process improvements
  • Meet production financial standards by controlling and minimizing production expenses
  • Monitor production performance and ensure all daily shift production reports are completed on time.
  • Manage the team training matrix to ensure accuracy and within compliance based on the individual’s assigned area
  • Act as liaison between teams, shifts, supervisors and departments, and partner with vendor / customer / client representatives
  • Review Tableau reports to ensure that the team/dept is attaining the desired performance metrics. 
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations
  • Manage (review and approve) employee time and attendance and time off request
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a leadership/supervisory related field
  • Strong knowledge and abilities with use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving or related environment required
  • Must meet all performance standards in current position
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Able to successfully interface with all levels of Company personnel as well as external personnel.
  • High energy professional with the ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with all suppliers and vendors
  • Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with problem solving, brainstorming sessions, strategy development and conflict resolution
  • Driven, goal-oriented, never confuses effort with results
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, dynamic assembly and logistics environment

Pay Range:

$16.57 - $26.51

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
