Job Description

This role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The Technology Risk and Compliance Management team (#TechRCM) provides support to our business partners to identify, track, and monitor technology risk and compliance for acquired companies during the lifecycle of integration. To achieve this, the Technology Risk Manager must develop a deep understanding of the acquired companies’ technology and environment and partner to:

  • Consult Technology owners and leaders about the risk profile of the acquired company processes and applications.
  • Serve as a trusted risk advisor to aligned Technology leaders and acquired company.
  • Identify and address risks before they impact objectives and integration activities.
  • Oversee and enable the aligned Technology team’s compliance with existing and new requirements through integration.
  • Evaluate and consult on the risks associated with strategic priorities and integration activities.
  • Provide actionable integration activities to help prioritize risk-mitigation actions across the acquired company portfolio of platforms/applications.
  • Monitor acquired companies’ control environment for effectiveness and enhancements through integration.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Identify, monitor, and report on processes, risks, and controls within risk appetite.
  • Collaborate to drive strategic outcomes through integration to mitigate risk and meet compliance requirements.
  • Consult on strategic initiatives and integration priority based on risk and compliance requirements.
  • Provide advisory and implementation support in the development of integration plans to remediate associated risk and compliance gaps.
  • Perform risk assessments to evaluate compliance with existing policies and procedures and to accurately identify risks and drive remediation processes through integration.
  • Provide guidance on how to effectively achieve and sustain compliance with regulatory, industry and contractual obligations, as well as information security policies and practices.
  • Support aligned Technology team in demonstrating evidence of control effectiveness and identify and escalate control gaps in a timely manner during pre and post integration
  • Deliver targeted and actionable risk reporting across various leadership levels
  • Serve as a functional liaison between the Business Line and second and third lines of defense
  • Monitor, assist, and deliver targeted and actionable risk reporting on remediation efforts of technology and impacts to broader risk management initiatives and at various leadership levels.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically, more than eight years of applicable experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
  • Considerable understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
  • Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
  • Strong analytical, process facilitation and project management skills
  • Effective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
  • Applicable professional certifications

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $116,280.00 - $136,800.00 - $150,480.00
