Your Team 

As a Vice President, Product Owner for the Automation & Orchestration team within Corporate Technology, your primary focus is to work in close partnership with other FM Transformation Product Owners to support an End-to-End Process Automation Capability; you will provide strong technology leadership and deliver solutions to achieve broad automation and orchestration goals. This position plays a critical role in designing and delivering a core capability required to support key business processes with speed and scale, limiting manual intervention and improving accuracy.   As an expert in automation and orchestration, you will bring a breadth of technical and people leadership expertise to your team and promote a culture of continuous learning and continuous improvement. You will report to the Vice President – Chief Product Owner – Financial Management Technology  

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day 

  • Act as the primary point of contact and technology business partner for Financial Management Automation & Orchestration capabilities.  Delivering value by shaping and defining workflow, orchestration and automation capabilities required to achieve FM Transformation (FMT) objectives and bringing forth recommended and prioritized technology solutions to enable these capabilities. 
  • Accountable for FMT E2E process automation capabilities, including integration across enterprise, FM and business unit technology solutions and technologies.  E2E Automation capabilities include the platforms, applications, tools and technologies required to automate, manage and monitor processes across full value chains.
  • Run regular portfolio planning and progress updates with the program teams. Drive the development of business cases and representing the function in IT Alignment sessions. Ensuring all technology solutions are connected and aligned to the goals and objectives of FMT. 
  • Continue build out of project and support team, planning for agile adoption and delivery by driving an Agile mindset and delivery culture throughout the business function, advocating speed and agility and act as a change agent within the function for Agile adoption. 
  • Partner with global teams that are accountable for local technology solutioning within this space, driving accountable for innovative, strategic solutions. Ensure local solutions are consistent with corporate strategic objectives and ensure that the function can support the needs of the growing and changing business. 
  • Work collaboratively across the IT organization to ensure all technology services needs are identified in a timely way and communicated, integrated, planned and budgeted effectively. 
  • Ensures the strategic agenda is serviced by strong data and analytic services including data science, analytics and ongoing support. 
  • Coordinate with technology providers to evaluate new and innovative technologies and service offerings. Responsible to coordinate with enterprise architects (enterprise, solution, information, etc.) to ensure new services and solutions align with roadmaps. 
  • Design, develop, evaluate, validate and deploy digital technologies in partnership with the broader Technology & Data team in service to FMT goals. (e.g. AI/Machine learning, Intelligent Automation (robotics), etc.) 

The Skills & Expertise You Bring   

  • Strong experience software development, application management and process automation within Financial Management domains; direct experience with actuarial or financial model orchestration preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of control systems, robotics, integration services, workflow. job scheduling, business intelligence, and process optimization. 
  • Experience with operational processes to support an active production environment. 
  • Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to benefit the organization.
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.  
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills; enjoy learning new skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise with several of the following:  
  • Effective Communication: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. 
  • Decision-Making & Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. 
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Financial/Business Acumen: Strong Knowledge of financial and/or business concepts, tools and processes and how financial metrics are used to monitor and drive outcomes. Includes understanding of company accounts/metrics (ex: balance sheet, profit/loss, cash flow, budget & forecast). 
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.

The salary range for this role is from $224,500.00 to $303,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
