Pay rate: $24.50/hour

If you are looking for meaningful work and a wonderful team environment, look no further!  The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a Medication Program Coordinator to join the team at Bridge adult residential program.  

The Medication Program Coordinator position provides system support to all direct care positions to meet and maintain highest standard of client care. This is an assistant management position of an administrative nature. This position contributes to the accomplishment of the Agency’s mission through assisting the director in program oversight and providing some leadership to program direct service workers.

This position manages all aspects of the medication administration within the program.  Implements all medication rules and regulations. Provides oversight on all documentation required within the medication room. This position contributes to the accomplishment of the Agency mission through the provision of direct service.

The person in this position attends weekly program staff meetings and participates in other meetings as necessary.  Work is performed, reviewed, and evaluated under the supervision of the Program Director.


Schedule: full time, 40 hours per week

Location: on-site in Portland, ME

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.   Associates or bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training in mental health preferred.

  • Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT1) within one (1) year of employment; then maintain required trainings to uphold continuous MHRT1 status.

  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.

  • Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.

  • Must pass CNA registry check.

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and TB screen.

  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, driving, typing and frequently lift and carry material weighing up to 25 pounds.

  • Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area.  This may include transportation of clients or driving to agency location to complete work.  A good driving record is required

***This role is required by the State of Maine to have proof of immunization or documented immunity against rubeola (measles), mumps, rubella (German measles), varicella (chicken pox), hepatitis B (optional), and influenza. Medical exemption may be accommodated with a written statement from a licensed medical professional. The Agency may assist with obtaining vaccines or proof of immunity if needed.
