Summary: Assembles and packages lateral flow devices used in the food safety industry according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assemble and package lateral flow components through the use of automated and semi-automated assembly equipment.
  • Label components.
  • Complete production paperwork including quantities produced, scrapped, in-process, etc.
  • Assists in the dispensing of bulk solutions.
  • May work at different stations as production needs require.
  • Blends powders prior to it being formed into tablets.

Education and/or Experience: High school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s and calculate percent.  Ability to perform these calculations using units of American weight and measurement.

Language Skills: Ability to read and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Ability to read, write and speak simple sentences in English.
