Job Summary

Job Description

DUTIES:                            Responsible for validating software solutions in various testing environments using test plans and test cases within an Agile environment; test RDKC device firmware; test and troubleshoot within the Linux Operating System, including Linux kernels, file systems, and utilities; utilize SQL databases to gather data needed to triage issues; and perform Test Automation using Automatics Scripting; contribute to the development of test strategies and the design of quality assurance practices; collaborate with other Engineers to identify, reproduce and document defects, bugs, or problems; maintain technical quality assurance and control systems and activities; utilize clearly defined standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products; assist product support areas in gathering and analyzing data; write and execute tests to validate products and software applications; contribute to the development of Quality Assurance test philosophies and methodologies; identify viable test strategies in order to support testing product functionality; collaborate with product and development teams to identify product and technical requirements; review and verify requirements and design specifications for validity in overall product design, with an emphasis towards product testability and verification; ensure proper execution of regression test procedures and automated test suites and scripts; participate in design, code and functional product reviews; work with other Quality Assurance Engineers or Software Engineers to identify, reproduce and document bugs or defects. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS:            Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience creating and executing test plans and test cases within an Agile environment; testing RDKC device firmware; of which one (1) year of experience includes testing and troubleshooting within the Linux Operating System, including Linux kernels, file systems, and utilities; utilizing SQL databases to gather data needed to triage issues; and performing Test Automation.
