Position Overview

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Community & Event Manager to join our global developer advocacy team. In this role, you will grow and engage a vibrant developer community while planning and executing strategic events—both small and large-scale—that bring international developers together. You’ll collaborate with developers, innovators, and business leaders, understand their needs, and create impactful programs that foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a strong community.

Responsibilities

Community Engagement & Growth

• Manage and expand the developer community of Autodesk Platform Services across social media, forums, and our corporate website.
• Drive proactive engagements, facilitate discussions, and answer questions.
• Create and curate high-quality content, including blog posts, success stories, tutorials, and webinars.

Event Planning & Execution

• Organize and host online training, webinars, developer conferences, and community meetups.
• Develop event agendas, secure speakers, and manage budgets, sponsorships, and logistics.
• Promote events via social media, email marketing, and partnerships.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

• Define and track key success metrics for community engagement and events.
• Collect and analyze feedback to continuously improve experiences.
• Monitor and report on community engagement and event success metrics.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the community's feedback is incorporated into product development.
• Work closely with strategy, product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure consistent messaging and feedback loops.
• Coordinate engagements with internal partner programs and strategic partners to expand reach.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in community management and event planning, ideally in a tech startup or enterprise B2B software company.
• Passion for technology, developer communities, and content marketing.
• Fluent English speaker with exceptional writing and storytelling skills—able to simplify complex topics into clear, engaging content.
• Strong project management skills, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing budgets and agency collaborations.
• Willingness to travel internationally (30-40%) and work in the office min. two days per week.
• EU passport is required.
• Working knowledge of content marketing, social media, PR, experiential marketing, and brand activation best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Business proficiency in a second language, EU language.
• Degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across different geographies.
• Familiarity with SEO and content marketing strategies.
• Experience with graphic design and video editing tools.
• Technical background or knowledge of Autodesk Platform Services is a plus.

Interview Preparation

Candidates should bring examples of their work (e.g., social media posts, videos) showcasing community engagement and event management experience. Additionally, be prepared to share a compelling story about one of the top three trends in digital transformation.
