Organizational Context

Accenture’s Legal corporate function supports the entirety of Accenture’s business to minimize risk and ensure compliance with laws and company policies. We encompass 3,000+ legal professional in 46 countries, making us amongst the biggest in-house units of our kind globally.

The Legal Operations function provides services to other Legal functions that improve their day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness, facilitate change and control costs.  We bring a wide range of distinctive capabilities, including Strategic Programme Management, Change Management, Legal Technology and Knowledge & Learning.  This role is part of the Strategic Programme Management team within Legal Ops.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to support Accenture Legal to shape and deliver on some if it’s highest priority initiatives. Working closely with Legal leadership, this role will involve managing one or many projects using the latest Accenture programmatic methodologies to ensure successful on time, on budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The individual will be supporting the projects on several dimensions and is expected to dynamically prioritize this support as needed:

  • Strategic projects: Help shape, develop and deliver strategic projects aligned with Legal and Legal Operations strategy
  • Project Shaping & Planning: Undertake project shaping and planning to ensure there is clarity in how milestones will be met and who is responsible for what activities 
  • Project Reporting & Governance: Create a structure to evaluate success, share information and make decisions
  • Operational Delivery: manage end-to-end recurring processes and ensure compliance with global standards and playbooks; develop reporting and analytics packages to support leadership decision-making
  • Communications: Ensure clear Communication and Stakeholder Engagement using different channels, as appropriate, to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged as they should be

Qualifications and Experience Required

The following elements are required:

  • Minimum of four years working experience in fast-paced project-based roles, be that consulting to external clients (e.g. in Strategy, Consulting or Digital), consulting internally (e.g. in AEE) or working on important internal initiatives. Relevant pre-Accenture work history will count towards this experience requirement.
  • Proven track record of supporting client or internal stakeholders in variety of scoping, planning, execution and monitoring activities.
  • Experience of working across multiple geographic borders and time zones.
  • Knowledge and competence in identifying and helping manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

The following elements are preferred:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of project management methodologies and application to practical examples.

  • Knowledge of strategy and operating model frameworks.
  • Exposure to data analytics, including modelling and visualization.
  • Interest and/or exposure to the Legal sector.

  • Influencing and negotiation skills: able to build strong relationships with multiple global stakeholders quickly via virtual tools; listen, understand and respond to any concerns.
  • Prioritization skills: Comfortable working within a large and complex environment with multiple stakeholders and interest groups.
  • Task management: Professional and organized approach to delivery. Able to work under pressure and to tight timescales, with minimal supervision.

  • Strategic thinking and innovation: Able to think strategically, keep in mind broad strategic implications but also breakdown complex projects into simple, understandable concepts and present to leaders; but also willing and able to roll their sleeves up and do whatever is needed to achieve key Legal Ops objectives, diving into detail where necessary.
