The Meetings, External Engagements, & Travel (MEET) Speaker Program and Policy Operations Senior Manager for LATAM is responsible for supporting the Global PI&C and Speaker Programs Director in designing a consistent, efficient, and effective Regional Speaker Program framework aligned to the Global Speaker Program Policy. This Sr Manager will have responsibility for leading the Speaker Program Needs Assessment (SPNA) process for all markets in LATAM and ensuring operational requirements for implementation of local Speaker Program requirements are completed in a timely manner. This role will be responsible for identifying continuous improvement opportunities, driving process and system enhancements through innovation, and leveraging technology. The Sr Manager will design a scalable Regional model to support expansion to additional policies and programs, as needed.
This role will work closely with MEET Regional Operations Leads, Process Integration and Controls teams, other MEET Centers of Excellence, Corporate Compliance, Legal, Audit, Finance, and Business Leadership.
This role will report directly to the Global Process Integration and Controls and Speaker Program Director.
Maintain the local speaker program policy requirements for all markets within LATAM with input from relevant stakeholders ensuring compliance with global standards and minimum requirements
Support annual updates of local requirements on the Country Annex Portal in collaboration with Compliance and other relevant stakeholders
Act as the primary point of contact for local policy questions and interpretation for in-scope markets within LATAM, with support from Compliance, as needed
Consult with Global Policy Owner and Global Risk Owner on relevant policy related matters, as needed
Lead the remediation of audit findings relating to speaker program requirements within LATAM
Work with stakeholders to coordinate change management and communications for all markets within LATAM, including as it relates to policy updates, process changes, systems enhancements.

Lead the annual Speaker Program Needs Assessment (SPNA) process for all markets within LATAM including identifying and engaging relevant stakeholders, initiating the process, tracking and appropriate storage of final SPNAs and approvals, and identifying a process to review progress against SPNAs
Ensure development/customization of local speaker program training materials and assign, deliver/support delivery, track training to required colleagues within LATAM with appropriate documentation
Accountable for operationalizing policy requirements within markets, including ensuring maintenance of minimum speaker criteria; review/approval by Medical of approved speakers; and speaker briefing process and documentation
Ensure local monitoring program is in place, as needed, and support conduct of periodic level 1 oversight to ensure compliance with policy
Support audit readiness
Implement Regional governance framework
Update leadership on speaker program trends/issues and insights to support effective decision making
Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities and innovative ideas to enhance processes and systems within LATAM and Globally including opportunities to standardize, incorporate automation and enable business flexibility
Design scalable regional model and incorporate, as needed, additional policies, including but not limited to Ad Boards, External Funding, etc.
Support ad hoc MEET-related initiatives and projects, as needed
Experience drafting and/or advising on internal policies and processes with ability to translate compliance requirements to practical suggestions and real-world solutions
Knowledge of internal and external audits and compliance initiatives
Strong data analytics and ability to action data to mitigate compliance risk
Understanding and awareness of the technology landscape that supports MEET
Strong written and verbal communication skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management
Ability to work under pressure and to handle several projects at once
High level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility
Proven ability to drive continuous improvement
Proven ability to maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and SOX related internal control documentation
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Management of multiple client stakeholders
Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Good organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple global priorities
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and business impact
MAPP Navigator/SAP/Ariba/LeapFrog experience preferred
Typical Years of Experience: 10+ years (9+ years with MBA/MS/CPA/Law Degree) of experience in Audit, Compliance, Law and/or Finance driving global controls and compliance operations
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Law or a related discipline
Fluency in English is a must, additional languages preferred
Previous experience with pharmaceutical companies is preferred
Demonstrated diverse leadership experiences including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers and create business impact
Strong stakeholder relationships in aligning on strategies and risk tolerance
Ability to engage with senior executives to influence decisions
Ability to develop strategy for continuous improvement, monitoring, and training
Recognized as a leader with in-depth knowledge of compliance, audit, financial controls, and transformational strategies
Experience leading global transformational initiatives related to improving risk management or operational excellence
Deep expertise in global compliance related operations and execution of global compliance related initiatives
Project management & communications skills
Experience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act/Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption required
