IT Solutions Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IT Solutions Engineer with a proven track record in delivering a range of support functions, including systems installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and diagnostics for backup and storage solutions. Join our team and leverage your expertise to provide top-tier technical support and contribute to various projects and problem resolutions.

Responsibilities:

As an IT Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Responding to users within set service level agreements (SLAs)
• Providing 3rd line technical support and assisting 1st/2nd line support resolution
• Meeting agreed build standards
• Explaining technical concepts and providing guidance to customers
• Assisting the 3rd line support team with projects and problem resolution
• Assisting the 3rd line support team with Microsoft Windows support where applicable

Required Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrable relevant experience managing backup infrastructure and clients
• Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good organizational and project management skills
• Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Commitment to best practices
• Ability to communicate technical information at all levels

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

• IBM Spectrum Protect and Protect Plus
• Veritas NetBackup
• Experience with storage systems such as Hitachi and NetApp
• Microsoft Windows Server & infrastructure services training/certification
