Job Summary:
Assists MWL Team with the management of cost reduction projects and initiatives throughout the global business.
What You Will Do:
Work closely with MWP system teams to understand cost challenges and design changes for both NPI and current production and how they will impact NPI.
Generate cost ideas, collaborating with extended organizations including parts and aftermarket and provide support at both strategic and tactic levels.
Project leader for cost reduction projects.
Project leader for Buy American initiative.
Work as liaison for NLR Facility, building relationships with the factory teams to help them focus on cost reduction.
What you have – Skills and Experiences:
Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
Collaborating & Effective Communications: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Project Management & Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives. Knowledge of tools (Microsoft Power BI, Automation Techniques, Excel, etc), techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
What You Have - Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Previous experience with engineering, business, accounting or project management.
Pre-Advanced English.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Proven experience with Engineering or Engineering Management.
Experience in LEAN principles and practices.
Experience in product cost or cost management/analysis and data analysis.
Fluent proficiency in English - written and verbal communication skills.
