Summary:

In this role, you will execute the business strategy and activities for the Manufacturer Refund Service (MRS). This will be accomplished by leveraging established and developing new relationships with consultants, attorneys, and pharmaceutical manufacturers to assist manufacturers in maintaining compliance with the 340B program by offering refunds to covered entities for overcharges. You will understand the pharmaceutical healthcare industry dynamics, the 340B program, and strategies to effectively provide refunds to covered entities by securing MRS contracts with manufacturers and executing refund projects. You will be the key leader in developing trusted relationships to execute new contracts and perform services for the MRS.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify manufacturer 340B program compliance needs with pharmaceutical manufacturers.

  • Generate new business by developing relationships with manufacturers, consultants, and attorney decision-makers.

  • Lead presentations and education regarding manufacturer compliance and available services including the 340B PV MRS.

  • Identify and present the benefits of MRS to manufacturers and consultants.

  • Through a matrixed management structure, manage all elements of MRS through identifying new customers and opportunities, business-to-business sales, contracting, and overseeing the analytics team who executes the refund process.

  • Responsible for oversight of the MRS program, including all operational activities conducted by our analytics team.

  • Responsible for P&L outcomes, forecasting, and accruals, and ensuring the service meets all quality and operational metrics.

  • Work with our communications team to create and execute marketing plans for MRS and to create effective education tools for all stakeholders involved with refund activities.

  • Maintain a high level of subject matter expertise and customer satisfaction with manufacturers, consultants, and attorneys and effectively communicate successes, opportunities, and challenges to Apexus’ leadership and other stakeholders.

  • Monitor HRSA notices for opportunities to inform manufacturers about utilizing the MRS service to facilitate refund activities to covered entities.

  • Present 340B compliance requirements and challenges at national conferences.

  • Work with the manufacturer contracting team to generate leads and increase business opportunities for both manufacturer contracting and MRS.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree required. MBA or related advanced degree preferred.

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • 340B Drug Pricing Program knowledge including program compliance requirements highly preferred.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to develop, promote, and clearly communicate and promote strategies for the program.

  • Willingness to travel (10 – 20%).

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.
