Your Opportunity
The Manufacturing team is looking for motivated professionals to facilitate the distribution of our great products to customers and consumers. These personnel can analyze production metrics against market needs in Supply & Demand Planning, Operations/Manufacturing and transportation through Logistics to ensure Customer needs are fulfilled.
The Director, Corporate Continuous Improvement is responsible for developing, initiating, leading and driving continuous improvement projects from a corporate level. This includes process or business changes to reduce operating costs and overseeing project initiation, development, tracking and auditing. Responsible for supporting and/or facilitating key continuous improvement activities, in areas such as; waste reduction, cost savings, production & supply chain efficiency, procurement, transportation, distribution, operations, maintenance reliability, quality, safety, environmental, people development, business systems, business technology and business development initiatives.
Responsibilities
Works with Operations management, Maintenance, Finance, supervisors, hourly employees and other divisions to develop ideas for improvement and potential solutions.
Works with Engineering to evaluate new technologies and processes.
Facilitates capacity studies for future growth opportunities as dictated by business.
Identifies and facilitates the implementation of process improvements and cost savings opportunities aligned with key business objects.
Acts as a change agent to identify and drive continuous improvement projects that realize cost savings for the organization.
Performs and evaluates economic analyses on projects.
Establishes and implements meaningful metrics to set yield, labor and supply standards; tracks and identifies gaps in performance; explains discrepancies and facilitates system solutions.
Oversees project performance and ensures timely completion and achievement of goals.
Maintains and updates plant capacity numbers and creates reports to measure yield and labor performance.
Responsible for developing and leading projects to reduce negative variances.
Implements strategic planning and execution using techniques such as, 4 Disciplines of Execution and SWOT Analysis.
Coaches management in tactical execution of strategic plans.
May lead training initiatives.
Supports special projects and duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering, Business or related field and 10 + years of relevant manufacturing, maintenance, supply chain or engineering experience in a leadership role; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
5+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development is required
Advanced experience leading continuous improvement projects in manufacturing, maintenance, supply chain, distribution or engineering leadership role, preferred.
Formal lean manufacturing training, required
Applicants must have knowledge of industrial engineering, project management, and continuous improvement principles.
They need to show they can use Continuous Improvement methods to reduce costs and manage projects.
They should also demonstrate the ability to identify and implement continuous improvement plans, lean initiatives, 5S, value stream mapping, statistical process control, and six sigma to drive change.
Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office Excel.
Familiarity with SAP, preferred.
Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, innovation and ability to operate autonomously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides leadership and guidance to Continuous Improvement Managers.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
