General Description:

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.  Supporting activities associated with delivery of customer-defined systems and software projects.
  • Technical expertise to be able to maintain and support Linux systems – physical and virtual.
  • Experience with Oracle RDS administration.
  • Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
  • Patient and professional demeanor, with a can-do attitude.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.
  • Installing, configuring, and deploying TRIRIGA software components when necessary.
  • Supporting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining server issues and security.
  • Managing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining servers in a virtualized and traditional environment.
  • Assisting in creating scripts to monitor systems, diagnostics, resolve issues, and automate routine tasks.
  • Creating, and maintaining written and verbal procedures; prepares written technical documentation, training material, standards, reports, and other documents as assigned.

More About This Role:

Your responsibilities will include maintaining existing systems by analyzing, designing, and implementing changes to the system baselines so that baseline changes meet customer requirements. You will also work with upcoming technology refresh projects.  Day to day activities include responding to support requests, remotely supporting system installations, and building development environments. Contributing to operational and system support documentation in accordance with the program’s configuration management procedures, regularly notifying the team lead when problems or issues arise that are outside the normal scope of work are other activities you will get to support.

You Will Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria will include:
    • 3 year check for felony convictions
    • 1 year check for illegal drug use
    • 1 year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
  • 7+ years related professional experience
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Past experience administering server-side technology  
  • Familiarity with SQL and database operations
  • Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines
  • Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly
  • Experience with designing/managing CRON Jobs (LINUX shell scripts)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter and highly proactive
  • Thorough knowledge of server and system administration principles
  • Experience with managing AWS environments and Oracle RDS

  • Familiarity with the general IT practices and terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic; self-starter

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Technical Certifications
  • TRIRIGA experience
  • Experience with TRIRIGA Object Migration Tool migrations
  • Experience working with WebSphere liberty
  • Experience working with Containers

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,100-$172,400
