Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Tooling and Digital Product Definition (DPD) Supplier Quality Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the Supplier Quality team located in Multiple Locations.

This position will provide on-site supplier support primarily in the Midwest Region and can be located within 30 miles of any of the listed locations..

This position will plan and conduct audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products with respect to Tooling and Digital Product Definition (DPD) contractual requirements. This position provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products.
  • Documents and reports audit and assessment results. Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements.
  • Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
  • Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.
  • Resolves routine issues and concerns.

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of industry experience in manufacturing and/or Quality
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace or defense industry
  • 1+ year of experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions
  • Experience in working with blueprints, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures
  • Experience in fabrication tooling, working with tooling and tooling processes, or working in a tooling technical field
  • 1+ year practical experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience

 Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 4: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Knowledge of SQIS, REDARS, and/or other Boeing quality data systems is a plus.  
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Advanced Measurement skills as an operator of Coordinate Measurement Systems, Laser Tracker, Laser Scanners, etc.
  • Knowledge of tooling fabrication techniques and the tools used for fabrication, rework, modification and maintenance.

Typical Education & Experience:

Level 3:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Level 4:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 50% of the time.

Summary pay range for mid-level (Level 3): USD 88,400 – 127,650

Summary pay range for senior level (Level 4): USD 102,450 – 148,350
