About the Role & Program
The Motion Graphics Design team is responsible for conceptualizing ideas and bringing design and animation needs to life. On any given day, we mix our passion for design and sports to create groundbreaking visual content across ESPN. We are seeking an intern who will assist with all graphic production required in the daily creation of on-air graphics for multiple productions and provides support on long-term projects.
The dates of this internship are June 1st through August 7, 2026.
What You Will Do
Create and deliver graphics for studio shows and remote events under the guidance of senior designers and production teams
Support the development of templated team logos and athlete imagery for use across ESPN playout systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy
Collaborate with Art Directors and full-time staff on longer-term creative assignments and daily production needs
Work both independently and as part of a team, managing assigned tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Exhibit strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in spelling, grammar, and visual execution
Required Qualifications & Skills
Hands-on proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, demonstrated through academic or project-based work
Online portfolio or demo reel showcasing creativity, design fundamentals, and strong typography/layout skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, receive feedback, and apply direction
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Experience with After Effects
Passion for sports and a desire to create visually appealing imagery to enhance ESPN programming
Education
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Journalism, Sports Media, Communications or related major preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Subsidized housing in the Bristol, CT area will be available for those who are eligible
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
