Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4). The qualified candidate must have a great working relationship with peers, senior leaders, and executives using strong collaboration, communication, and people skills. The position is located in Oklahoma City, OK.
 

E-7 United Kingdom team is seeking an execution-focused, highly motivated Program Management focal to join our team. In this role, you will be supporting a unique aircraft being developed and manufactured for our ally Great Britian. Program Management best practices combined with a high level of discipline and follow-through are key to the success of this position. The ideal candidate will work under minimal supervision, be biased towards action, find solutions, and enable the rest of the team to meet their commitments.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Aides in executing the program battle rhythm 
  • Evaluates IMS and EV performance and delivers insight
  • Drives execution of program RIO process
  • Supports integration between major activities, teams, suppliers, partners and customers
  • Highlights and drives resolution of program issues
  • Supports the program manager in leading program execution by developing and coordinating program metrics
  • Implements Program Management Best Practices
  • Proactively manages the program’s export licenses, working closely with Global Trade Controls (GTC)
  • Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.
  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Ensure the successful implementation of identified process improvements – Successful implementation means realization of improvements in the value stream, reduction of waste, increasing of value-added times of the mechanics on the airplane.
  • The Project Manager will utilize a collaborative and iterative approach to project management, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement throughout the execution of Kaizen initiatives.
  • Agile methodologies may be employed to adapt to changing requirements and optimize project outcomes.
  • Work with IE (and other stakeholders) to conduct or facilitate regular reviews and evaluations to measure the effectiveness and impact of the implemented initiatives.
  • Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
  • Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
  • Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ year of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions, or initiatives
  • 5+ year of experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders (i.e. business partner, customer, Finance, suppliers) in planning and executing projects
  • 5+ years of experience managing risks, cost performance and schedule performance
  • 1+ year experience using Microsoft Project, Primavera, or other project management tools
  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance or an active secret clearance is preferred

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
