Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Identity and Access Management Manager to lead our IAM initiatives within the Zero Trust Security framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IAM principles, identity governance, automation, and access controls, combined with a passion for driving security best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement IAM strategies aligned with our Zero Trust Security model, ensuring that identity verification and access controls are robust and effective.
  • Policy Development: Design and enforce IAM policies, standards, and procedures to protect sensitive data while facilitating appropriate access for users.
  • Risk Management: Assess IAM-related risks and implement mitigating controls to reduce vulnerabilities associated with user access and identity management.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of IAM professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
  • Technology Implementation: Manage the selection, deployment, and integration of IAM tools and technologies, ensuring alignment with Zero Trust principles and organizational needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with HR, IT, Security, Compliance, and other teams to align IAM initiatives with overall security posture and business objectives.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor IAM effectiveness and provide regular reports to senior management on the status of identity and access initiatives.
  • Incident Response: Collaborate with the security incident response team to investigate and remediate IAM-related security incidents.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Zero Trust security principles and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with IAM technologies (e.g., Identity Governance, Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication).
  • Experience with compliance standards such as NYDFS, HIPAA, or NIST.
  • Proven track record of leading IAM projects and teams in a complex, enterprise environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
