General Overview
The Director of Medical Operations is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating staff and activities at multiple clinics to provide quality, cost-effective care. Will be responsible for establishing/maintaining positive working relationships with community leaders, group leadership, and clinic providers. Will ensure exceptional customer service through monitoring, policy implementation, and patient satisfaction surveys. The Director will assist the VP of Clinical Operations with staff scheduling; staffing; planning; annual budgets; customer service, new practice integrations; staff recruiting; and marketing.

- In collaboration with the VP of Clinical Operations supervises all clinic staff and others as directed. / Supervises staff of designated and/or assigned clinics.
- Manages daily operations at the assigned clinic(s) and coordinates the daily work activities, staffing, and schedules.
- Responsible for handling patient inquiries and assisting VP with overall clinic patient satisfaction.
- Ensures provisions of safe, high-quality patient care by the staff.
- Works with VP to implement operational processes to effectively meet standards for all value-based, government-directed, and/or commercially driven healthcare programs and initiatives; responsible for effective reporting of results as required by the program.
- Evaluates performance and recommend candidates for hire, merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensures that office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
- Ensures that all business functions are operative and that all processes are effectively and efficiently in place. Identifies and implements process improvement changes. Creates goals for clinic operations and ensures that these goals are in line with organizational goals.
- Maximizes opportunities to manage operating costs.
- Works closely with Providers and MD Partners ensuring all clinic and company goals are met.
- Contributes to the writing and revision of department policies, procedures, job descriptions and competencies etc.
- Maintains an active and/or leadership role in company projects and initiatives and ensures implementation and integration in clinics.
- Oversees Safety and Compliance for all governing agents in collaboration with other Managers and Directors to include but not limited to: OSHA, QOPI, PQRS, MIPS, etc.
- Creates and maintains an environment of trust, integrity, open communication, teamwork, and respect.
- Works collaboratively with vendors, contractors, building maintenance, and others that interact with all clinics.
- Oversight of direct reports and performance evaluations.
- Responsible for mentoring, coaching, and development of direct reports.
- Brainstorms action planning to improve results of the employee engagement survey.
- Works with managers of all clinics in reviewing and analyzing patient satisfaction and developing action plans for improvement.
- Has superior skills in building relationships with Providers.
- Relates well to all types of people using diplomacy and tact in team building.
- Regularly rounds in clinics to assure high visibility and develop trusting relationships with staff and to ensure validation that changes, and initiatives are fully engrained.
- Works collaboratively with department leaders to achieve operational/projects initiatives, goals and outcomes.
- Contributes to development of workflows and drives performance through monitoring and benchmarking of key performance metrics (through One Analytics) to achieve best-in-class performance.
- Supports senior leadership in communications and projects with physicians/offices.
- Executes plans and leads projects as directed by senior leadership.
- Supervise and manage team members effectively as the practice grows.
- Supports senior leadership and departments in growth efforts such as physician onboarding, practice integration, and service line expansion.
- Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and financial performance.
- Serves as the primary operational point of contact for offices in the assigned region.

Requirements:
- Licensed as a healthcare professional in the State of New Jersey (such as RN)
- Bachelor’s Degree (healthcare administration, business administration, nursing or related field) required
- Master’s degree (MBA, MHA or related) preferred
- Chemotherapy Certification preferred
- OCN or AOCNP Certification preferred
- Prior experience as an oncology nurse
- Clinic management experience is a must
- 3-5 years experience in oncology office management experience
- Knowledgeable in Oncology/Hematology terminology
- Able to travel to satellite clinic when necessary
- Previous experience managing multiple locations is strongly preferred
