As an HR Generalist you will be a key member of the Global People Partner Team, providing partnership and coaching to all levels including senior leaders and individual contributors. You will collaborate on global initiatives – supporting a key business area within the company to ensure seamless service delivery and strategic HR influence to this group.

This is an extraordinary opportunity in which you will partner with the Global Restaurant Sales & Services team, reporting into the Senior HR Business Partner who supports the wider organization.

Applicant must be based in the San Francisco area, within reasonable commuting distance, and available to work in the office at least 2 days per week.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Work as a global strategic partner to our Global Restaurant Sales & Services teams, of approximately 500+ employees located across all OpenTable offices both in the US and internationally (UK and Australia).

  • Responsible for building trust-based relationships with people managers and individual contributors.

  • Advise and support managers to address issues impacting the business, including mitigating risk and managing situations that result in the best possible outcomes for the company, teams, and people.

  • Partner with People Team colleagues globally to implement strategies that align with and drive company objectives.

  • Partner with the wider P&C team on annual/cyclical programs, including engagement surveys, performance management and merit cycle processes.

  • Build organizations that support growth through organizational design and planning, building accountability, and structuring ways of working and making decisions.

  • Strategically partner with the business to craft and deliver targeted solutions, including change management and team building.

  • Work closely with managers to develop their capability to build and lead teams effectively.

 

Please apply if: 

  • At least 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Human Resources professional with progressively growing responsibilities.

  • BA/BS and/or relevant experience that demonstrates ability to influence attainment of business outcomes through people management and relationships.

  • Experience supporting a tech organization is preferred

  • Ability to build solid relationships with the managers, the People Team, cross-functional internal partners and external providers/vendors.

  • Ability to work independently and be proactive in a high-performance environment.

  • Possess a sound sense of ownership and accountability, and an ability to work in the grey - not everything is defined here and so we are looking for someone with a proactive and problem solving approach.

  • A client service bias, meeting and anticipating client needs.

  • Strong business insight – understand the daily challenges the business faces and be able to make an impact.

  • You will bring superb communication skills and serve as an ambassador for the People Team.

  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail while proactively supporting business needs in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10% of the time) to support business initiatives, team collaboration, and company events as needed.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this United States located role is $99,000 - 112,000.

In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible for additional compensation and benefits including: annual cash bonus; health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave and benefits.
