Position Summary

The Advanced Digital Experience Designer leads multiple design work streams in an effort to solve complex business challenges while being an advocate for users with extensive knowledge with user-centered design processes.
Foundational characteristics of the Advanced Digital Experience Designer include empathy, creative problem-solving, comfort with uncertainty, collaboration, iteration, communication skills, excellent technical design skills, and curiosity.
This role will work hand-in-hand with other disciplines and stakeholders to scale our digital solutions across multiple platforms and enhance user flows based on comprehensive research. This role involves hands-on design responsibilities and can work independently requiring limited direction.
This role will support CAP, RADAR, and other products within the Developer Experience portfolio reporting to the Sr. Design Manager.


Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience in UX and/or UI design
• Experience partnering with multiple groups (UX/UI, Content Strategy, Accessibility, Development, Product Management, Research, etc.) to define and execute on a product development roadmap across multiple projects
• Minimum 5+ years of experience (expertise) in responsive web design and native mobile UX/UI, design system and component-based design and leveraging a user centric, design-thinking and metrics approach culminating with bringing products/features to market
• Expert proficiency in Figma, Sketch and InVision and/or other industry-standard design tools


Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience mentoring and coaching junior colleagues in design best practices
• Ability and knowledge to dive into projects at any level of definition with creativity and drive
• Experience in designing and delivering work from initial concepts all the way to successful market launches
• Ability to communicate user needs (e.g. storytelling, leveraging data) and demonstrate how proposed designs solve those needs to internal team and senior partners
• Hands on experience with UX design journey mapping, user flows, wire framing, prototyping
• Hands on experience within design research and demonstrated experience leading large scale user research and effectively communicating insights to business partners and leadership
• Understanding of design system and component-based design
• Experience in UI design with strong grasp on visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, data visualization
• Knowledgeable about Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and able to collaborate with Accessibility team to arrive at solutions that are inclusive and accessible
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS technical constraints, enough to communicate easily with developers
• Knowledge of how native mobile technical restraints can influence design choices and ability to communicate easily with developers
• Ability to understand product vision, roadmaps and life cycle while overseeing of the people and pieces from inception to launch
• Experience working within an Agile or SAFe Agile Methodology as a development process
• Ability to create and continuously improve Experience Design ways of working

Education

Bachelor's degree in Design, User Experience, Graphic Design, Information Design, Product Design, Human Factors or equivalent/relevant work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
