Summary of the Position:

Tishman Speyer is seeking to hire a Staffing Coordinator to work within our Client Services Department. The Staffing Coordinator will collaborate with the Payroll, Operations, Accounting, Sales, and Human Capital Management teams to ensure operational and staffing needs are met. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the staffing operations of our 4 in-house entities located at Rockefeller Center, 520 Madison Avenue, 200 Park Avenue, and 11 West 42nd Street.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast hiring needs for the department by reviewing past data and making educated decisions to ensure hiring needs are met in conjunction with reviewing sales contract requests, labor vacancies, worksite labor requests, and other customer (tenant) needs.

  • Ensuring that staffing needs and information are well maintained, easily accessible, and organized via a resource library.

  • Conduct behavioral-based interviews of 32BJ union members throughout the calendar year.

  • Communicate directly with candidates, referrals, rehires, and new hires and schedule start dates in accordance with operational needs.

  • Manage communications with candidates, new hires, and/or rehires regarding application questions, interview scheduling, set start dates, onboarding, and new hire information.

  • Collaborate with Human Capital Management to ensure the candidate and new hire experience is upheld to Tishman Speyer standards. 

  • Assist the payroll leads with processing and reconciling payroll information and ensure compensation for annual increases and other ad hoc monies are processed.

  • Review and approve monthly 32BJ payroll expense submissions. 

  • Maintain payroll and employee records to meet company and legal compliance standards and ensure completion of new hire paperwork.

  • Collaborate with Controller and Director of Accounting to prepare annual budgets, provide monthly variance explanations of staffing, coding labor to appropriate accounts, and report discrepancies.

  • Coordinate new hire orientations with supervisors for full-time regular and seasonal new hires and rehires on Tishman Speyer's history and culture, workplace safety, and the department's standard operating procedures.

  • Verify I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification identification of new hires in conjunction with Human Capital Management.

  • Lead and assist with employee initiatives and other special ad hoc projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3 - 6 years’ experience in payroll/human resources/facilities staffing roles.

  • Accounting experience is a plus.

  • Passion for meeting company needs while building strong interdepartmental relationships.  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Strong Excel skills are required.

  • Able to identify and analyze trends of data sets.

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills and proactive problem solver.

  • Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and work with confidential information.

  • Experience with eTime, Workday, and ADP a plus.

  • Strong partnership skills with multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to understand and communicate in English, both verbally and written.

  • Ability to understand and communicate in Spanish is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Present a professional appearance and engage with our Hospitality program.

  • Ability to travel between floors and buildings in order to effectively communicate with the team.

The base compensation range for this role is $60,000 - $65,0000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees. This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer’s New York team, as we’ve considered factors specific to this geography.
