Job Summary:
The Data Engineer (Snowflake) role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures using Kafka, KSQL, KStream, and Confluent Cloud. The role requires expertise in Snowflake and modern data processing systems, focusing on performance optimization, troubleshooting, and client engagement.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and optimize data pipelines using Kafka technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
- Build relationships with senior client stakeholders and help them leverage Big Data technologies.
- Participate in project definition, scope, and estimation.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Guide the entire project lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with data technology partners and participate in Agile team ceremonies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in Kafka and Snowflake.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or Scala.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern data architectures (e.g., Lambda architecture, Streaming).
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools like SSAS and PowerBI.
- Strong understanding of application capabilities, data design, and industry best practices.
- Leadership and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in international, virtual teams within an Agile framework.
