About this role:
The Advanced Practice Provider Family Medicine Fellowship in St. George, Utah is our selective program for recent Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant graduates with an interest in furthering their education in the field of Primary Care. Our 12-month training program includes clinical time with the guidance of experienced mentors, rotations through multiple specialties, didactic lectures, journal clubs, and opportunities to participate in research/QI projects.
Our clinics provide comprehensive family medicine care for all ages, from newborns and pediatric patients to adults and seniors. Fellows will gain experience managing preventive care, acute visits, and chronic disease across the lifespan. The selected fellow will spend time at our family medicine clinics in St. George, Cedar City, and Hurricane for an exposure to a wide range of patient populations and medical conditions.
The Family Medicine Fellowship is limited to Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants who have graduated from an accredited school within the 12 months prior to the program start date, and if applicable, have less than nine months work experience as an APP at program start. The Fellowship is one year in length, with an additional two years after graduation as a full provider; the three-year commitment must be completed in the greater St. George area. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a unique passion for serving a primary care population, a strong work ethic, and a self-driven approach to learning. This position is designed to transition newer APPs to independent practice.
Application Process:
Our Fellowship application process consists of three components, and all three must be completed by Friday, March 6 at 11:59 pm MT.
Applications will be thoroughly reviewed and a select number of candidates will be invited to an in-person interview with program and recruiting staff. The interview day is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24 – no other interview day is planned at this time.
