What You Will Do:

Our finance management consultants help federal clients optimize the operations of their finance organization, including intra-governmental payments and collections, government-wide treasury account symbol reporting, annual financial reporting and helping to meet the ever-changing requirements of federal financial reporting.  This accounting operations team helps a federal CFO organization sustain business operations and improve processes over time, in coordination with the rest of the project team.   

The project team supports the Department of Justice (DOJ) Asset Forfeiture Program where the role would support the financial operations unit. The individual would learn about the Federal accounting and financial processes, working with district offices and headquarters to process, reconcile and investigate financial transactions. The candidate would have an understanding of accounting and financial processes and will be responsible for handling large volumes of data in excel, financial systems, or other databases.  This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to move into or grow a career in Federal financial management and will provide the opportunity for long-term career trajectory in Federal financial consulting.


What You Will Need:

  • Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Analytics, or related discipline

  • At minimum, 1 year of experience in financial management, accounting or business management


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Interest in obtaining CPA, CGFM or related credential

  • Interest in career in Federal financial management consulting

  • Understanding of federal financial statements, monthly treasury reporting (GTAS), and USSGL

  • Understanding of intragovernmental activity, budgetary accounting, proprietary accounting and government accounting posting logic
