Equine Technician

The primary responsibilities include serving as a technician for the equine doctors both in the field and in the hospital.   Must have a working knowledge of equine care and assist in the treatment of those animals.  Required to assist our Veterinary Service Specialist team with “overflow” phone calls and desk coverage as needed during emergency.

Specific Duties:  This list is partial and not all-inclusive to the position

• Assist DVM’s with all daily activities in clinic or on farm
• Lab Submissions daily
• Invoicing and collecting payment as needed (equine clients)
• Maintain working knowledge of procedures
• Maintain paperwork to clients in an organized and timely manner
• Hospitalized animal care with stall cleaning/feeding/treatments
• Veterinary Service Specialist backup
• Assist clients with product information & dispensing
