WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Nike’s Asia Pacific & Latin America (APLA) Geography. Main collaborators are Strategy teammates, APLA Leadership and Cross-Functional Teammates who write the future of Sport and Nike for over half of the world’s population. 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Director of Strategy who will work with leadership in the APLA geography to develop and execute Nike APLA’s long-term strategy, identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities, and to catalyze action against these priorities through business planning processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Applied Science, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

  • 9-10+ years of directly relevant work experience e.g. corporate/business-unit strategy, management consulting, corporate development, or strategic planning

Preferred requirements

  • Apparel/footwear, retail, merchandising, digital/e-commerce and/or experience in consumer facing industries and proven understanding of the competitive landscape / retail marketplace.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As our APLA Strategy Director you will be responsible for helping lead the strategic planning process, authoring strategic plans, and serve as a critical thought partner to our senior/executive leaders to explore complex business issues. In addition, you will independently lead cross-functional teams and be aligned to the projects below:

  • Build Integrated Growth Plans – Drive integrated actions to win with athletes* & drive profitable growth.  Help leaders solve their most pressing strategic questions via long term growth plans. Complete rigorous strategic analysis and synthesize insights into compelling presentations.

  • Develop Future Strategies – Create the path for future Nike. Develop frameworks, analysis, and critical thinking to drive Nike’s largest growth opportunities. Scope the work, define workstreams, and serve as overall project quarterback.

  • Assess Impact – Diagnose results aligned to the plan & prioritize future actions. Support senior leader(s) to communicate strategies across the broader organization and develop KPIs to measure success.
