The Euronext Securities business consists of four Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) in Portugal, Denmark, Norway and Italy providing issuance, custody and settlement services to the capital markets.

This position will be based at Euronext Securities Porto, with some possible travel to other locations. The Operational Readiness Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful local and transversal deployment and operational effectiveness of systems and processes. Key responsibilities include, amongst other, defining business requisitions, creating and maintaining traceability matrices, and validating user test cases. The role involves managing test data various environments, drafting test strategies, and executing user acceptance testing. The manager also leads MOP analysis, coordinates ORT, identifies opportunities for quality improvement, and oversees test automation efforts. Additionally, the position involves participating in ECB technical groups, defect management, and supporting SCRUM teams to ensure smooth operational readiness across multiple services.

As  Operational Readiness Manager , you will be responsible for the:

Key accountabilities

  • Definition of Business requisitions, starting from the product requirements, in collaboration with the business owners.
  • Creation and updating of traceability matrices, considering product and business requirements.
  • Creation and validation of user test cases shared with business owners.
  • Identification and maintenance of test data in Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing and Evaluation (TE) test environments in collaboration with business owners.
  • Drafting of Test Strategies and Plans.
  • User acceptance test execution and sharing with business owners.
  • Defect management and test report creation.
  • Test target services (T2S/T2/CRDM/ECMS).
  • Support the SCRUM teams in the required role.
  • Test evolutionary maintenance requested by means of Change requests.
  • Method of Procedure (MOP) analysis and consequent alignment of internal procedures and  Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) coordination.
  • Identification of opportunities for quality improvement (Quality Assurance), test automation (including coordination, implementation and management of dedicated resources) and evolution of tools to support user acceptance tests.
  • Participation of European Central Bank (ECB) technical groups:  Project Management Group (PMG) and  Unified Technical Support Group (UTSG).

Team Leadership and Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a transversal team to achieve performance goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage workload distribution, training, and development plans to ensure operational readiness and continuity.

Profile and Skills:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in business management or finance.
  • A solid and successful experience in a similar role.
  • Fluency in English. Any other European language will be considered an advantage.
  • Flexibility to travel.
  • Demonstrated ability perform well, keep composure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, transforming and results-driven environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of a wide span of complex operational and regulatory matters.
  • Fast learner, flexible and proactive behaviour with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in working with international teams.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
