Job Description Summary

This position will work closely with the rest of the Working Capital Loan (WCL) Operations team, regional operations heads and Working Capital Loans Product team to embed the global WCL operations function and deliver transformational change across the global footprint to deliver against the business and operational vision under the WCL TOM and 5 year digitization plan.   

WCL business has a significant growth agenda with key operations strategic deliverables including wider adoption of e-loans, STP/automation, process/system standardization and risk distribution to drive efficiency and support this growth.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Support the Trade & Working Capital Loans Operations team to embed an effective global operational rhythm, including
  • Co-ordinate and provide support for WCL Ops virtual core team – preparation of materials, document meetings and follow up with regional representatives to achieve deliverables, and drive/track actions  
  • Develop global monthly reporting dashboards to be used in performance oversight forums – source meaningful data to populate WCL Ops dashboards and undertake analysis to support increased digitisation/automation and standardisation.  Drive/track actions and deliverables and monitor delivery of benefits  
  • Provide analysis to support oversight of all service providers (Citi & 3rd party), including Global Loan Operations.  Support GLO MBR through preparation of materials, documenting meetings and following up on actions
  • Collaborate with the WLC Ops team/stakeholders and apply innovative thinking to identify opportunities and drive transformational change via WCL TOM across global WCL Ops processes, including
  • Through E2RE process reviews, complete operating model gap analysis (current state v future vision) for key locations.  Identify recommendations, and monitor and track delivery of actions
  • Investigate, document, and implement process changes globally to improve customer experience, drive standardisation, automation and digitisation to support business growth and the strategic agenda.  For example, review of all trade loans documentation requirements across all regions
  • Complete ad hoc end to end process reviews and data analysis to understand current pain points and define and track delivery of actions to address those pain points
  • Support WCL Ops team in delivery of key strategic project deliverables, for example
  • Digitisation: Working with country ops teams, identify local barriers to adoption of e-loans at scale and ensure that actions are in place to remove those barriers (e.g. Tech fix, Tech functionality build included in Book of Work)
  • New products/processes: Work with Product and Ops team to understand detailed requirements and recommendation approach/actions.  Undertake detailed data analysis to derive and support recommendations 
  • Cost to serve:  Source relevant data and deliver cost to serve analysis between Trade Operations and Global Loan Operations to facilitate strategic discussions and strategic decision making
  • Support workstreams to standardise WCL global systems and drive changes to move towards the strategic architecture e.g. CEEMEA migration of product processor from Flexcube to TRIMS..
  • Support Global WCL Ops team in delivery of Tech changes under Agile environment.  Provide inputs to support with the definition of requirement for Tech changes, provide materials and activities to ensure changes are delivered in time, meet requirements, are embedded effectively in the business and deliver anticipated benefits.  Provide inputs/materials/data analysis to ensure new changes are effectively commercialised on a timely basis.  Take ownership of specific JIRA activities where appropriate.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of the WCL business, processes and systems within Citi is preferable but not requirement
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to understand how financial transactions affect the operating systems/GL.
  • Experience in transformation and reengineering of operations processes.
  • Project management/execution and delivery experience. Proven experience in delivering anticipated outputs and benefits
  • Proven ability to present complex ideas in a simple manner to stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience of SDLC and Agile methodologies
