Northrop Grumman is seeking a Supply Chain Technical Coordinator 2. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.

What You’ll Get To Do:

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Booking hazardous shipment for movement

  • Certifying hazardous cargo in accordance with IATA and CFR 49 regulations

  • Coordinating shipping of cargo leaving warehouse inventory

  • Loading and unloading cargo into warehouse for processing

  • Filing claims with carriers for damage found during shipping

  • Booking return cargo back to venders

  • Maintain files of shipping records

  • Billing and invoicing payments for shipments booked with carriers

  • Forklift operations

  • Warehouse management skills and safety

  • Computers skills (i.e., excel, word)

  • Packing and securing cargo on trucks and for transportability and safe transport over the road

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Job Qualifications:

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.

  • Experience with logistics/warehousing.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

  • Ability to work hours necessary to meet business objectives. This may include working overtime (40+ hours in a work week)

  • Ability Travel 10%

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture.

  • Ability to read and follow policies / procedures

  • Ability to work within deadlines

  • Experience booking shipments within the Defense Transportation Management Systems (Ryder)

  • Experience packing and handling hazardous Shipments

  • Computer experience and working with SAP/ERP Systems.

  • Experience working in aerospace industry.

  • Experience working under the safety and security requirements of a secure government facility.

Salary Range: $42,600.00 - $71,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
