Lead a team of 3-10 HVAC, Firefighting, and Environmental engineers providing technical support to NAVSEA, NSWC, MSC, FMS, USCG, Program Office, DOD, and Shipyard clients. You'll support the development of next-generation Navy ships and provide engineering support for existing vessels throughout their lifecycle. This role involves managing engineering resources, staffing plans, and aligning with program needs to ensure stable revenue and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee deliverables, quality assurance, risk management, and project budget compliance

• Foster a strong mentorship culture for developing young engineers

• Develop subject matter experts in key naval and marine engineering disciplines

• Manage team resources across current and strategic market spaces • Support growth opportunities in Naval Engineering

• Manage team timekeeping and performance reviews

• Staff, train, mentor, and forecast team resources • Support proposal efforts and targeted growth areas

• Demonstrate multi-tasking ability, technical savvy, and interpersonal skills • Expand into new markets

• Apply knowledge of commercial standards (ABS, SOLAS, SNAME, ASHRAE, ASTM, ANSI, NFPA)

Qualifications:

Required:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Fire Sciences, Fluid Mechanics, Environmental Science, or related field

• US Citizen with active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one

• 3+ years experience in US Naval Ship Engineering

• 5+ years leading engineering teams of 3+ FTEs across multiple HM&E disciplines

• Experience briefing complex technical issues to decision makers

Desired:

• 10+ years leading specialized engineering projects for NAVSEA, MSC, DOD, or Shipyard

• PE in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and/or 3D

• Specialization in Fire Sciences, Thermodynamics, or Environmental Sciences

• Master's or dual degrees in related specialized engineering fields

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,700 - $165,300
