Lumentum is seeking an experienced Process Integration Engineer to join the Communication and Commercial Optical Products business unit. The successful candidate will work in the engineering organization in our Asia Center of Excellence, Thailand. In this role the candidate will provide technical solutions, manage program execution for new product introduction and/or transfer and product scrap reduction activities. The candidate will work closely with R&D teams abroad and local teams to define process requirements and integrate new process and technologies into manufacturing.
The successful candidate should be self-motivated, a creative thinker, exhibit drive for success, process and systems oriented, hands on, work well in a cross function team, and manage with clear and concise data with emphasis on product manufacturing cost and engineering solutions
In this role, the candidate will also:
• Develop, configure and optimize processes
• Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data
• Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
• Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
• Perform process simulations
• Manage cost and time constraints
• Perform risk assessments
• Provide process documentation and operating instructions
• Solve complex problems
• Interface effectively with customers and other functional teams within Lumentum such as R&D, Product Engineering and Product Line Management to validate requirements and ensure process or technology milestones are clearly defined and achieved
• Ensure compliance to quality assurance processes and industry best practice
• Coach, mentor and motivate team members
Requirements:
• Bachelors in engineering, or appropriate sciences.
• >3 years of experience in a fast paced electronics manufacturing environment, preferably in semiconductor or opto-electronics
• Familiarity with the design of experiments (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC)
• Creative thinker, with strong analytical and problem solving, and project management skills
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team and interact with all levels of management
• Strong leadership and inter-personal, written and oral skills
• Willing to participate in calls in multiple time zones, and occasional overseas
