Job Description

Summary

The Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing and attracting top talent to closing offers and onboarding new hires. The role involves collaborating with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, creating job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. Recruiters also maintain candidate pipelines, manage recruitment tools and systems, and work closely with the HR team to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consults with the company to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s).
  • Collects and analyzes data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability, and demand for candidates in particular fields.
  • Reviews and manages recruiting agreements and contracts with third-party agencies to ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal regulations.
  • Works with the legal team to negotiate terms of recruiting contracts and agreements.
  • Screens candidates, selects qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase, and then connects viable candidates with hiring managers.
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Manages job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Follows up with clients or hiring managers after the interview process to determine whether a placement can be made; collects feedback when placement is unsuccessful.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying start dates and other pertinent details.
  • Arranges meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and company managers when necessary.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations. Maintains an up-to-date understanding of recruitment laws, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A keen eye for talent and experience with recruitment strategies across multiple channels.
  • Ability to interpret and negotiate recruiting contracts and service agreements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Thoroughly understand EEO, ADA, and other related employment laws and guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Sound judgement
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Advanced computer skills, including data entry and data processing. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for various roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, practical learning skills, enthusiasm, and an ability to complete multiple tasks promptly and accurately.
  • Able to operate successfully in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.

Education and/or Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least three years of talent acquisition experience is required.
  • Human resources or related experience is required.
  • SHRM-CP preferred.
  • SHRM’s Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
