Summary:
This role designs and establishes a robust wellness program and corresponding strategies to improve the health, connection, and engagement of Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) employees. Develops programs through internal collaboration with key constituents that drive behavior change to improve health, help prevent disease, and manage health care costs for employees and for MHS. Provides direct leadership for employee health departments across MHS. This position reports to the Vice President of Total Rewards.Responsibilities:
Develops project plans for program development/implementation and budgeting for wellness and employee health programs.Leads staff and strategy for all employee health functions in collaboration with internal SMEs, including new hire physicals, onboarding, facility-based employee health clinics, and related activities.Conducts a gap analysis for wellness activities and offerings to determine what is in place currently and what is needed going forward. This includes budgets, timelines, and other resources needed to deliver on the strategy.Monitors and assesses the effectiveness of wellness and employee health programs through data collection, analysis, and reporting. Uses data-driven insights to continuously improve wellness and employee health offerings and measure ROI on wellness and employee health investments.Designs, manages, and evaluates wellness programs, initiatives, and services that promote healthy lifestyles and improve employee well-being.Provides wellness and health subject matter expertise, leadership, strategy development, and implementation of MHS wellness and employee health initiatives.Collaborates and develops initiatives related to workplace safety and injury prevention in collaboration with Workers' Compensation, Human Resources, Infection Prevention, and return-to-work processes.Develops and implements an organization-wide wellness strategy to advance employee wellness, with collaboration with Human Resources (HR) leadership and other cross-functional MHS leaders, including Population Health and the Memorial Health Network.Manages and coordinates the activities of all employee health departments across the healthcare system. Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies. Facilitates communication and collaboration among health departments to provide cohesive and comprehensive health services to employees.Partners with Total Rewards leadership on employee health plan design, employee assistance programs, and chronic condition management.Partners with the HR communications center of expertise to direct a communication strategy that promotes and continuously educates employees on available wellness programs.Collaborates closely with various departments to ensure wellness and employee health initiatives are integrated and aligned with other important objectives.Competencies:

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking, effective (written and verbal) communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Strong knowledge of wellness program design, implementation, and evaluation. Experience collaborating with various stakeholders in support of wellness and occupational health program. Excellent leadership and organizational skills. Ability to analyze data and generate actionable plans. Required Work Experience: Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in employee wellness, occupational health, or a related field with, at least, three (3) years of experience in a leadership role. Other Information: Certification in wellness or health promotion (e.g., Certified Wellness Practitioner) is a plus.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
