Job Description:

Test Automation Manager/Architect:

· Proven experience of at least 10 years in software test development experience of QA with a focus on automation testing on test data management and functional tools.

· As Test Manager/Architect, you will be providing the strategic direction, best practice, and road map for achieving the desired outcomes. You would need a good understanding of the direction the field is taking within the context of Agile teams and applied within a business services context.

· Within this role you'll be helping to lead and develop future test strategy as part of a fast-paced change program working closely with both Senior Engineering and Senior Architects from across the business.

· On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with the Development teams and technical leads to help to embed the new approaches and best practice within our development teams.

· Strong coding skills in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Python/Bash/ Shell scripting.

· Strong experience in database validation like SQL & NoSQL DB.

· Understanding software architecture. Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch. Back-end testing experience.

· Experience with any cloud platforms i.e. GCP / AWS / Azure.

· Direct the automation framework development and implementation of the Test strategy, methodology, discipline, and framework.

· Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, LoadRunner, UFT or similar.

· Solid understanding of software development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile practices.

· Build test infrastructure and perform automated integration testing.

· Architect comprehensive data verification strategies.

· Collaborate with engineering teams on creating and maintaining testing environments.

· Take part in Test Data management system development.

· Coach and mentor QA Automation engineers.

· Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

· Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or CSQA are a plus.

Responsibilities:

· Provide leadership and technical expertise within functional and non-functional Test Automation and Testing. Responsible for defining QA strategy standards, implementation, and execution in development projects.

· Defining KPIs and key testing dominant goals to ensure alignment to the Organization strategy. Implement metrics into the teams to enable upward reporting to key stakeholders. Be accountable for the implementation of test automation frameworks and projects.

· Mentor and provide guidance to the QA automation developers and leads, across multiple projects.

· Building and maintenance of quality standards as well as enforcing technical and testing standards.

· Manage training and continuous learning of QA staff by means of short courses, conferences, meetups, certifications, etc.

· Strong experience of building, implementing, and directing quality assurance principles across teams to deliver quality outcomes.

· Experience working in an agile development environment.

· A mature and professional individual who is self-motivated and enthusiastic.

· Excellent communicator, influencing skills and negotiation skills.

· Have strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, in a continuous delivery environment.

· Strong communication skills with all the key stakeholders to ensure QA vision is understood, cascaded, and implemented correctly.

· Flexible with the resilience to and work under pressure.

· Proactive, strong-minded, quick thinker and confident.

· Building and maintaining relationships across key technical and business stakeholders.
