GEICO is looking for a Policy Modernization Product Manager to lead the transformation of policy‑related products, platforms, and experiences across the insurance lifecycle. This role will drive modernization of policy systems, processes, and data to enable scalability, flexibility, and improved customer and associate experiences. The Policy Modernization Product Manager will work closely with engineering, underwriting, service, legal, and compliance partners to deliver secure, compliant, and future‑ready policy solutions while promoting agile ways of working.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leads the modernization of policy products and platforms by identifying customer and business value and driving innovative, technology‑enabled solutions
• Drives product strategy and delivery for policy lifecycle capabilities including quoting, binding, endorsements, renewals, and policy servicing
• Champions agile ways of working to deliver scalable and compliant policy solutions through iterative delivery
• Employs empathy, design thinking, and systems thinking to define complex epics and break them down into features and user stories for agile teams
• Owns and prioritizes the product backlog to balance regulatory requirements, business outcomes, customer needs, and technical constraints
• Partners with cross‑functional teams including engineering, underwriting, service, legal, compliance, and analytics to define and deliver modernized policy capabilities
• Influences product direction through data‑driven insights, customer and associate feedback, and deep understanding of policy operations
• Reports on product performance, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders, demonstrating incremental value creation and modernization progress
• Defines scalable, reusable policy solutions that support future product expansion and operational efficiency
• Mentors and guides less‑experienced product managers, contributing to product management best practices
• Adheres to GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles

The successful candidate will have:

• Ability to lead autonomously and influence outcomes across complex, cross‑functional organizations
• Strong understanding of policy administration concepts and the insurance policy lifecycle
• Proven experience driving modernization or transformation initiatives involving legacy systems
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and regulatory considerations simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts to senior stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in product management delivering complex, customer‑focused products
• Experience working in Agile product development environments
• Hands‑on experience using product and delivery tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Insurance industry experience, particularly with policy administration or policy servicing systems
• Experience modernizing legacy platforms or implementing scalable policy solutions
• Exposure to design thinking, systems thinking, or scaled agile practices


 

Annual Salary

$100,450.00 - $157,850.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
